September 11, 2009 - Today LucasArts announced its next downloadable game will be an on-rails platformer called Lucidity. It comes by way of the same team responsible for the excellent Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition and will be available on October 7. Lucidity takes place within the imagination of a little girl named Sofi. Players must work fast to maneuver her over obstacles in a treacherous environment as the screen scrolls by automatically. Randomly generated tools are available to lend Sofi a hand, such as wooden planks that can be placed as bridges and spring shoes that will give her a boost.
"Lucidity comes from our effort at LucasArts to form several small internal development teams and give them the creative freedom to make games that surprise, amaze and inspire," said LucasArts President Darrell Rodriguez.
